After deciding to become a physician and entering medical school, I found that I was better suited for a surgical specialty. I've always like working with my hands, and I was drawn to that aspect of medicine, particularly microscopic surgery (microsurgery). What attracted me to ear, nose and throat medicine was the chance to focus on a smaller area of the body filled with significant complexity requiring both medical and surgical treatments. I appreciate the fact that Otolaryngology isn't just a surgical subspecialty. While narrow in its scope, it is diverse with a variety of conditions that demand a range of knowledge, skills and treatment techniques. My mission was, and still is to provide the best possible care available for every ear, nose and throat complaint. It isn't just about surgery it's about caring and compassion, too. I have a true desire to help people and provide them with meaningful solutions for their ENT complaints. It's why I became a doctor, and it's why I put my heart into treating my patients.
